A disparity of approximately three years between co-offender sentences for armed robbery can be justified where the more leniently sentenced co-offender was a youthful first offender who pleaded guilty at the earliest opportunity, while the more severely sentenced co-offender had a substantial criminal history, was convicted after trial, and raised significant issues of specific deterrence and community protection. Compliance with a community correction order is itself a significant burden to be weighed in the parity comparison.
