The Court of Appeal will not ordinarily grant leave to appeal where the amount in issue is substantially below $100,000 unless an issue of principle, question of public importance, or reasonably clear injustice is identified, and disproportion between costs and the amount in dispute can itself be a reason for refusing leave.
