A reduction of the statutory sentencing ratio from 75% to 70% following a finding of special circumstances is within the sentencing judge's discretion and does not necessarily fail to give proper practical effect to the finding, particularly where the sentencing judge expressly states the intention to make only a limited adjustment. An incorrect reference to an offence in sentencing remarks will not vitiate the sentence where the totality of the proceedings demonstrates it was an inadvertent slip that did not affect the sentencing discretion.
