A sentence of 10 years' imprisonment with serious violent offence declarations for maintaining sexual relationships with two children over approximately 8 years, where the offending involved three complainants over 13 years in gross violation of trust, is not manifestly excessive. An appeal against conviction entered on a guilty plea will not succeed where the appellant produces no evidence that the plea was not entered freely or that a miscarriage of justice occurred.
