Filing an appeal notice that on its face covers all counts on an indictment exhausts the single right of appeal in relation to all those counts, even if the appellant subsequently narrows the grounds to challenge only some convictions. A second appeal against the remaining convictions is incompetent. The question whether a narrowly framed initial appeal notice might preserve the right to appeal other counts separately was expressly left open.
