Entry to premises by deception exploiting the extreme vulnerability of a blind victim, followed by gratuitous violence, is a serious instance of aggravated burglary warranting a substantial sentence notwithstanding the absence of forced entry, weapons, or other typical aggravating features identified in Meyers. A sentence of four years' imprisonment (maximum 25 years) for such an offence is within range. Commission of offences while on bail remains a significant aggravating factor.
