The fact that a co-offender stole a higher total quantum of property does not of itself require the imposition of a higher total effective sentence on that co-offender for parity purposes. The parity assessment requires consideration of all relevant factors including the number of offences, moral culpability, criminal history, cooperation with police, and rehabilitative prospects.
