A sentence of 6 years' detention (against a 7-year maximum) for a 13-year-old child who caused three deaths and grievous bodily harm by dangerous driving whilst excessively speeding is not manifestly inadequate where significant mitigating factors including extreme youth, no prior history, guilty pleas and positive engagement in detention are present.
