The Queensland Industrial Relations Commission certified the Gympie Regional Council Certified Agreement 2025, being satisfied that all requirements under ch 4, pt 5, div 2, sub-div 2 of the Industrial Relations Act 2016 (Qld) were met and that no grounds existed to refuse certification under sub-div 3. The agreement operates from the date of certification (5 December 2025) with a nominal expiry date of 1 May 2028, but continues in operation until terminated under s 227 or s 228 of the Act.
