Where a co-offender's sentence for common offending is reduced on appeal through the totality principle due to factors personal to that co-offender (such as de-radicalisation), the reduction does not automatically create a justifiable sense of grievance for another co-offender who was sentenced only for the common offence and to whom those personal factors do not apply.
