Where Australian proceedings raise issues under the Personal Property Securities Act 2009 (Cth) that are not raised in parallel foreign proceedings, and the foreign proceedings are themselves stayed pending a permission application, the balance of considerations under the Sterling principles will generally favour the continuation of the Australian proceedings.
