A 33-year delay in disclosing childhood sexual abuse does not preclude an applicant from satisfying the 'clear and cogent proof' standard required for discharge of an adoption order under s 93(4)(b) of the Adoption Act 2000 (NSW), where the allegations are consistently reported to medical practitioners and police and are indirectly corroborated by medical records and diagnosed mental health conditions.
