The Court ordered interest at the statutory penalty rate of 10% under s 58(1) of the Supreme Court Act 1986 (Vic) on debts recovered by liquidators, running from the date of demand (19 January 2024) to the date of judgment (24 March 2026), where the defendants showed no good cause to the contrary. Standard costs were ordered following the event. The Court confirmed that post-judgment interest need not be separately ordered as it arises automatically under s 101 of the Supreme Court Act 1986 (Vic).
