Youth of an applicant remains a powerful factor in establishing exceptional circumstances for bail on Schedule 1 offences, particularly when combined with availability of Youth Justice Supervised Bail Service support (as a first opportunity for intervention), stable accommodation and employment, and parity with co-accused already granted bail.
