The Court granted ex parte freezing orders against the first defendant (a property developer) up to $10,000,000 and the second defendant (his wife and a director of the plaintiffs' investment vehicle) up to $5,000,000, being satisfied that the plaintiffs had established a good arguable case that contributed joint venture funds had been misappropriated, properties transferred without authority, and false statements made about asset status, and that there was a risk of dissipation of assets.
