A sentence of 6 years' imprisonment for trafficking in 41.25 kg pure methylamphetamine (over 20 times the commercial quantity, street value $78 million) is within range even where the offender's role was limited to providing premises, the offender was autistic and illiterate, and suffered severe burns during the offence. Methylamphetamine trafficking is to be treated with comparable seriousness to heroin trafficking. A sense of loyalty or obligation to the principal offender does little to mitigate the offence.
