A retail store occupier is not required to take into account as reasonably foreseeable that a customer will wear dangerously slippery footwear. The test of reasonable care for a shopkeeper is not whether the safety of the shop could be improved; the mere possibility of repositioning display racks to make a floor transition more visible does not establish breach of duty where neither surface is slippery and both exceed minimum slip resistance standards.
