The R v Henry guideline judgment for armed robbery applies equally to robbery in company under s 97(1) of the Crimes Act 1900 (NSW), which carries the same maximum penalty of 20 years imprisonment. A lookout's role in a joint enterprise robbery is as significant as the roles of co-offenders who directly carry out the robbery, and does not of itself warrant a lesser sentence.
