Identity of a masked offender may be established purely by circumstantial evidence, including evidence of association with co-offenders, opportunity, distinctive physical items matching security footage, and physical characteristics such as left-handedness. Individual weaknesses in circumstantial evidence do not render a verdict unsafe where the cumulative effect of the evidence supports the inference of guilt beyond reasonable doubt.
