Aggravated stalking involving a sustained campaign of approximately 960 telephone calls to intimidate a complainant into withdrawing charges, committed while on bail for threatening to kill the same complainant, falls within the worst category of the offence and warrants a sentence at or near the statutory maximum. Where stalking and threatening to kill offences against the same complainant are entirely separate transactions, cumulative sentences are required unless the totality principle dictates otherwise, and the totality principle may be addressed by making sentences partly concurrent and partly cumulative.
