An appeal against conviction cannot be framed as an appeal against the trial judge's refusal to rule no case to answer; the appeal must be against the conviction itself. Counsel instructed on appeal who concludes the grounds are without merit must either do their best for the client or seek leave to withdraw — appearing while conceding the appeal has no merit is not an acceptable course.
