The failure of trial counsel to take exception to the judge's charge remains cogent evidence that no injustice or error was perceived, and matters not objected to at trial will be given little weight on appeal. Cumulation orders that produce a total effective sentence exceeding 50% of the aggregate of individual sentences may offend the principle of totality, particularly where multiple counts arise from the same episodes of offending.
