For supply of a large commercial quantity of methylamphetamine involving approximately 25kg and a senior supervisory role in an international drug syndicate, a starting point of 9 years (before discount for plea) was held to be the lowest appropriate starting point on resentencing, with the restraint applicable to Crown appeals. Prior good character and lack of criminal record have reduced significance in drug trafficking cases.
