An application for extension of time to appeal against sentence will be refused where the proposed appeal has no reasonable prospect of success. Alleged new evidence of tampering with material tendered at sentence is irrelevant where the sentencing judge demonstrably did not rely on that material. Disparity between co-offenders' sentences is justified where there are significant differences in plea, criminal history, level of involvement, and personal circumstances.
