A judgment that finds breach of a contractual obligation but does not determine the quantum of the obligation does not create an issue estoppel as to the amount owing. In statutory demand proceedings, a party is not estopped by the Anshun principle from raising arguments not advanced in earlier proceedings concerning a different statutory demand, where it was reasonable not to raise those arguments at the earlier stage.
