Incest committed while on parole for prior offences against the same victim, resulting in pregnancy, falls within the worst category of such offences even where it is a single instance. An indecent assault on a severely intellectually and physically disabled victim by a person in a position of trust, who knew of the victim's disabilities, falls well within the most serious category of such offences notwithstanding that the physical conduct was brief and limited in character. The seriousness of an indecent assault must be assessed by reference to the totality of the indecency and offensiveness as experienced by the victim, not merely the precise physical conduct.
