When challenging individual sentences on parity grounds in multi-count indictments, the relevant comparison is the overall effective sentence, not individual counts considered in isolation. Cumulation, concurrency and individual sentence adjustments made to achieve a proportionate total sentence will not give rise to a justifiable sense of grievance merely because a particular count, viewed in isolation, appears disproportionate compared to a co-offender's sentence for the same count.
