An adjudicator's power to correct decisions under s 28 of the BCIPA does not extend to adopting a different methodology or chain of reasoning to reach different results; such a correction constitutes jurisdictional error. Adjudication decisions under the BCIPA remain reviewable under Part 5 of the Judicial Review Act 1991 (Qld) notwithstanding the 2007 amendments excluding them from Part 3. Injunctive relief is available to restrain an adjudicator from making a correction that would exceed the power conferred by s 28.
