A solicitor convicted of planned dishonesty involving fabrication of a document to deceive a court-appointed officer will be found unfit to practise, and the passage of over ten years since the offending conduct will not negate present unfitness where the practitioner fails to give evidence of reformation. The Court left open whether a declaration as to absence of good fame and character requires more recent evidence than a declaration of unfitness.
