The word 'experience' in s 293(3) of the Criminal Procedure Act 1986 (NSW) is not limited to actual sexual activity on the part of the complainant; being the subject of voyeurism and observing a person's exposed genitalia constitutes 'sexual experience'. The s 293(4)(a) exception for evidence 'at or about the time' of the offence does not extend to events occurring over a period of years before or after the charged offences, and the mere involvement of the same complainant in all events does not establish a 'connected set of circumstances'.
