An accomplice warning that makes the 'dangerous to convict' direction appear contingent on the absence of supporting evidence is not impermissibly diluted where the trial judge has fully explained the rationale for the warning and the accomplice's motives to lie, such that the jury would have been left in no doubt the warning applied regardless of supporting evidence. The co-conspirator rule in Tripodi and Ahern has no application where the accomplice's evidence of the accused's instructions is direct evidence admissible against the accused.
