Where a group engages in a prearranged armed fight, participants may be convicted of manslaughter on the basis of acting in concert even though the principal offender is guilty of murder, provided the agreement expressly or tacitly comprehended that someone might be attacked with a weapon creating an objectively significant risk of serious injury. The Crown is not required to prove that the secondary party agreed to the specific act of stabbing. A reduction of a minor concurrent sentence on appeal does not necessarily reopen the total effective sentence or non-parole period.
