A right of carriageway easement to 'go, pass and repass' extends to the use of fixtures forming part of the servient tenement, including mechanical conveyances such as inclinators. Neither the dominant nor servient owner is obliged to maintain such fixtures or supply electricity to them, but each has the right to do so at their own expense. The servient owner cannot require the dominant owner to use only the bare surface of the land when a fixture facilitates the form of use the easement permits.
