A solicitor struck off for deliberate and sustained dishonesty involving trust account misappropriation, excessive fees, and deception of clients and the tribunal will face a very heavy burden in seeking re-admission. Partial acceptance of wrongdoing, equivocal remorse, inadequate expert evidence, and outstanding compensation obligations to former clients are insufficient to discharge that burden, particularly where only approximately three and a half years have elapsed since removal from the roll.
