Where a sentencing judge identifies an inconsistency between a plea in mitigation and a guilty plea, gives the accused multiple opportunities to withdraw the plea, and the accused confirms through counsel that the plea should stand, the plea is unequivocal and a conviction based upon it will not be set aside on appeal. A post-conviction affidavit that is lacking in detail, contradicted by prior admissions, and unsupported by evidence from trial counsel will not be relied upon to establish a miscarriage of justice.
