A five-year cumulative sentence for armed robbery of a convenience store with a knife, committed while on parole by a 28-year-old with a significant criminal history, falls within the sentencing range even when the totality principle is applied to account for approximately 12 months remaining on a prior sentence. A substantial discrepancy between co-offender sentences does not engender a justifiable sense of grievance where it is explicable by the principal offender's markedly greater culpability, worse criminal history, lesser cooperation with police, and the co-offender's remorse and early self-inculpating admissions.
