Where a co-offender must serve an unexpired period of Commonwealth parole before the commencement of a new state sentence, the sentencing judge is entitled to apply the totality principle to reduce the co-offender's non-parole period, and the resulting disparity does not engender a justifiable sense of grievance in the other co-offender. A sentencing judge is entitled to order full cumulation of a dangerous driving sentence where the driving offence is different in kind from the enterprise of burglary and theft that constituted the broader course of criminal conduct.
