Where an applicant for leave to appeal is self-represented, the Court of Appeal may direct a legally represented respondent to prepare the appeal book, and such a direction will not be set aside absent demonstrated prejudice. The inclusion of potentially irrelevant material in appeal papers is not prejudicial where relevance can be determined at the hearing.
