An appeal under s 150(3) of the QCAT Act is confined to questions of law, which is narrower than an appeal that merely 'involves' a question of law. The question of law is the subject matter of the appeal, not merely a ground, and must be stated with precision. Challenges to findings of fact, including whether a notice to leave was retaliatory under s 291 of the RTRA, cannot be recast as questions of law merely by characterising the tribunal's factual findings as 'assumptions'.
