A struck-off practitioner who has undergone more than ten years of counselling, obtained unequivocal psychiatric and psychological evidence of rehabilitation, demonstrated compliant employment in legal offices, and obtained the support of the Board of Examiners, the Law Society and the Conduct Board may discharge the heavy onus for readmission. Conditions restricting practice to employed practice under supervision for at least five years may be appropriate where the practitioner has not practised for an extended period.
