Where a prisoner is granted appeal bail and the parole release date passes during the bail period, the prisoner remains obliged to serve the full custodial period of the sentence. The phrase 'in accordance with' in s 199 of the Corrective Services Act 2006 (Qld) permits the chief executive to adjust the parole date to give effect to the sentence. The Court of Appeal may defer execution of a warrant pending a proposed High Court special leave application where the remaining custodial period is short and the prospects of special leave are not necessarily so limited as to justify immediate execution.
