A sentencing judge's failure to expressly cite the AB v The Queen principle or elaborate on the basis of an offender's cooperation does not demonstrate sentencing error where the judge referred generally to full cooperation and the sentence as a whole reflects that cooperation. A sentence of nine months imprisonment with parole release after two months for supplying a small quantity of heroin that indirectly caused a death was within the permissible range, notwithstanding that the offender's confession was the sole basis for the charge.
