Where a substituted service order has been made under r 116 UCPR (Qld), the judge hearing the substantive application need only be satisfied that service was effected in compliance with the ordered modes; there is no obligation to inquire into the efficacy of those modes. The appropriate remedy for a party claiming lack of actual notice is an application under r 667(2)(a) UCPR to set aside the order, not an appeal.
