Where a sentencing judge is not satisfied that drug manufacture was solely for personal use, and the prosecution does not assert it was entirely commercial, the judge is not obliged to make findings as to the precise extent of personal and commercial purposes. The total effective sentence of 5 years for two offences of manufacturing/attempting to manufacture methylamphetamine (maximum 25 years each) does not infringe the totality principle where the offences were committed in residential complexes and the offender persisted after an explosion.
