Where a court's construction of a contract in its reasons identifies a quantification methodology that neither party's expert addressed at trial, the court may grant leave to re-open the case for the limited purpose of calling expert evidence on quantification, confined to evidence already tendered. The determination of an appropriate daily rate for on-site overheads is ordinarily a task for an expert, not the court.
