In a claim for breach of a solicitor's retainer to prosecute proceedings, the loss of the commercial opportunity to have proceedings pursued expeditiously is itself compensable harm; the plaintiff need not prove on the balance of probabilities that the opportunity would have produced a financial gain, and damages are assessed by reference to the degree of probabilities and possibilities.
