Where trafficking is charged as an 'offer for sale' and the offending lacks the trappings of actual commerce — no drugs in possession, no premeditation, and police involvement eliminating any real risk of distribution — a sentencing judge may moderate the sentence to reflect the lesser risk of harm, notwithstanding that the statutory definition of trafficking treats all forms equally. The risk that drugs will find their way into the community is a separate component of objective gravity. Evidence of firearms found in an accused's possession is admissible in drug trafficking cases as an 'accoutrement' or 'tool of trade' of drug trafficking, even where the firearm cannot be positively linked to the commission of the particular offence charged.
