An offender's post-sentence inability to participate in custodial programs recommended by the sentencing judge is irrelevant to the question of manifest excess and discloses no error of principle. A sentencing judge's reference to reducing moral culpability 'in the manner the High Court has directed' is sufficient to demonstrate application of Bugmy principles without express citation of the case. Possession of a gel blaster pistol that realistically resembles a firearm capable of discharging bullets is a serious matter, and its use to threaten victims does not diminish the seriousness of the offending merely because its firing capability may have been confined to gel ball pellets.
