Where the sole evidence supporting an accused's guilt is the complainant's evidence, the trial judge must give a specific direction that the jury must be satisfied beyond reasonable doubt of the truth and accuracy of that account. A general direction on the burden of proof, combined with identification of the complainant as the most important witness, may be insufficient.
