A sentence of 2 years and 10 months (less than 20% of the 15-year maximum) for knowingly dealing with approximately $298,820 in proceeds of crime, where the offender had two prior convictions for similar offending, is not manifestly excessive and may be regarded as modest or lenient. Where a sentence on one charge is arguably excessive but the total effective sentence is lenient due to lenient sentences on other charges, there is no prospect of the total effective sentence being reduced on appeal.
